What?
Console day is a free event for the New England audio community to come together over some of our favorite gear, Mixing Consoles. Think of it a bit like a mixing console potluck.
Bring your console(s) with you or come with nothing but a trusty pair of headphones and get some hands on time with all sorts of different mixers.
When?
Console day will be held onSaturday Dec 16th2023 from 10am to 7pm
Where?
Console Day will be held at Artisans Asylum, a makerspace in Boston. Instructions for finding and getting to Artisans are available here:
All consoles are welcome, the weirder the better. There are plenty of tables available for smaller consoles but if
you plan to bring a large desk please also bring a stand / tipper for
it. If you are planning to bring a large console (bigger than about
200 lbs in its case) or a console with large power requirements please
reach out so that we can work with you to find a space and power for
your board (remember analog outboard gear takes lots of power too).
If you bring a console, try to bring a way to play back at least 16-24 channels of audio into it so that everyone can work from the same multi track files. If you don’t have a way of doing this, don’t fret, we’ll figure something out!
Artisans has both a loading dock and parking lot level access to the “Holton” building where the event will be held.
